Role Summary

The Vice President, Total Rewards at DoorDash will manage the strategy, programs, plans and policies for executive compensation, broad based compensation, global benefits and global mobility. This person will report directly to the Chief People Officer.

You will:

Design and execute DoorDash’s total rewards strategy and manage the build of evolving plans and programs that support the company’s tremendous growth and breadth of employee populations.

Oversee the team (10+ direct reports) and have responsibility for ensuring a seamless implementation of global programs at the local level through relevant intervention and customization during the design phase.

Anticipate, forecast, and proactively develop policies and programs that drive improved workforce performance across the business.

Lead communication efforts to ensure that managers and employees understand the company rewards philosophy and programs.

Lead research of best practices, monitoring global developments, evaluating emerging trends, staying apprised of technological advancements and conducting benchmark comparisons by partnering with internal and external experts.

You are:

Innovative and agile with the ability to be both a thought partner at the strategic level and roll up your sleeves when needed.

A strong leader with an informed  point of view: Ability to effectively influence across the exec team, board, comp committee, People Leadership Team and cross-functional stakeholders.

Business minded: Understands the DoorDash business of today, but also recognizes the growth of tomorrow.

Operational: Data driven with a bias to action.

Executive presence: Partnering with team, board, and comp committee.

You have experience in:

Managing the total rewards function for a large, multi-site, global and diverse organization through its IPO.

Partnering closely with CEO and Board of Directors on board based compensation programs in consumer product or technology companies.

Leading and managing effective people teams in high-growth/ scaling tech companies.

High growth environments with a proven track record of working with mergers and acquisitions.

Deep analytical analysis with the ability to translate data and trends into key insights and recommendations.
