As Head of Recruiting, you will lead our global recruiting practice to hit our ambitious annual hiring targets. You will develop the foundational systems that will allow us to launch our Growth Services office in San Francisco, California and scale our organization across East Africa. You will lead, grow, and inspire a high-performing team of recruiters that fill a variety of roles ranging from frontline farmer support staff, software engineers, and top global executive level hires.
Shape and manage our annual hiring plan and forecasting targets
Manage and grow recruiting team, track recruiting KPIs, forecast and deliver on hiring timelines
Partner with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and translate needs into role briefs within our leveling system
Uplevel our candidate screening process to provide a coordinated approach for hiring committee members
Build and manage our competency assessment library, define assessment rubrics, and train all team and hiring committee members on scoring
Pitch our Komaza mission and vision to new candidates, to get them deeply excited about joining our team
Highly collaborative and can work in a dynamic environment with complex team structures
Adept at memo writing, proactively seeking feedback, facilitating group discussions, & building alignment
Outgoing and friendly - extroverted and enjoy meeting new people, making calls, and working closely with others
Number savvy and good at managing data systems for tracking and analyzing recruiting performance data
No stranger to chaos and can thrive in an environment where your mandate is crafting chaos into order
You have experience in:
Systems design - Designing and documenting systems and leading trainings
Setting up and managing ATS systems, employer LinkedIn accounts, and managing Job boards
Building a recruiting function for other growth-stage companies (with a mix of high volume and strategic hires)
Leading and developing a team of recruiters to achieve successful hires on target (global a plus!)
Coaching on both hard skills (systems adoption), and soft skills (communication, professionalism).
