Make the mundane magical – that’s our mantra. Sunshine is focused on building sophisticated technology to quietly solve everyday problems. We are building an AI powered CRM for your personal life, with the aim of giving you time back to spend more meaningfully. Sunshine Contacts and Birthdays are the first products to launch in what will be a portfolio of services. 

While we’re obviously biased, the team at Sunshine is awesome. We’re a mix of long‑time colleagues (Marissa and Enrique have been working together since our youngest engineers were in kindergarten!) and those newer to the mix. Role Summary

As our first Head of Talent, you will be a member of the leadership team and report directly to Marissa. We place a high emphasis on creating a positive work culture by being intentional about the people that are hired to join the team. You will play an important role in cultivating that value and will be supported with the budget and resources you need to be successful.

You will:

Build a recruiting team from the ground up, as well as grow Sunshine across the company

Optimize our tech stack (Lever, LinkedIn, etc) so that we’re leveraging data 

Enable hiring managers to hire the best people with robust interview processes, sourcing strategies, and a strong candidate experience 

Grow Sunshine’s brand via strong job postings, blog posts, and attending recruiting events

You are:

Mission driven and excited about the product and brand Sunshine is creating

A builder, someone that enjoys this early stage of building and operationalizing 

Informed with data; you use experience and evidence to influence key talent decisions to optimize founder time 

A self starter - you thrive in unstructured environments

You have experience in:

Hands on technical recruiting

Building or played a key role in developing a talent brand

Joining a company or team at an early stage, either as a first in recruiter or scaling a division at an early stage (ie you’ve seen growth from early → mid/late; double/tripled size of company)

Setting up systems that scale for quality, velocity and efficiency
