As the VP of Global Recruiting, you’ll architect and continue to build the systems that raise the talent bar at Thumbtack and drive business outcomes. You will be a thought partner to the executive team, all business leaders and across the People Team leadership to refine our people strategy, develop proactive recruiting strategies, uplevel operational excellence, and influence the direction of the business. Reporting to the Head of People, you will have the opportunity to lead the recruiting strategy into the next level of maturity.
Strategically lead the recruiting function across diverse hiring areas, manage the directors of each pillar, and continue to build the current org of ~35
Establish a culture of recruiting across the company that consistently sets the standard of how all employees recruit. You won’t start from scratch, but you will help drive continuous process improvement and optimization on the time we spend recruiting.
Be a strong cross functional partner to the people team and drive results with business leaders
Be a thought partner to the executive team on leadership hiring, future of work, talent strategy and talent market intelligence
Analytical and metrics driven: you value operational rigor and build systems that will scale processes

A recruiter's recruiter: you know what it takes to be successful in highly competitive talent markets
You have experience in:
High growth tech environments: you have seen companies scale and are excited to share this experience to drive Thumbtack’s growth from our current size of ~1k to several thousand in the future
Technical recruiting, either as an IC or leading the function, with 10+ years in leadership positions.
Recruiting leadership: a track record of building and developing strong recruiting teams, ideally teams across geographies; bonus points for int’l teams
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Building and executing DEI recruiting strategy
Developing strong recruiting enablement programs and employer branding efforts
