Our simple and powerful banking-as-a-service API helps companies launch bank accounts, cards, payments, and lending in weeks - not years.  Unit was founded by a team with deep fintech and financial services experience. We have raised $170m to date from top investors, including Accel, Insight Ventures, Better Tomorrow Ventures, Aleph, Flourish, and over 60 of Silicon Valley’s top fintech angels and founders. 

Role Summary

We've been very intentional about Unit's people, culture, and values from day zero. As we enter a critical high-growth phase, we are hiring a hands-on Head of Talent to build and own the company's recruiting function. The position is based in New York and reports directly to the CEO. For the right leader, this is a rare opportunity to help build an industry-defining company from the ground up.

You will:

Design the global structure and operations of the recruiting team from the ground up

Develop a systematic and sustainable strategy to hire top talent for general and specialized roles unique to Unit

Partner with our leaders and hiring teams to develop a deep understanding of U.S. hiring needs and align recruiting efforts to achieve business goals

Identify and implement metrics that matter, using data to gain insights and deliver recommendations that influence how we recruit

You have experience:

Leading and mentoring a high-performing recruiting team, with a particular focus on business and go-to-market roles

Recruiting with a builder mindset for early-stage startups or new functions within a larger company

Using a data-driven approach when making decisions and drawing insights

Optimizing systems and processes to constantly improve recruiting speed, quality, and success rates
