Credo AI - Head of People


Credo AI is a venture-backed company on a mission to empower organizations to deliver Responsible AI at scale.  Credo AI brings context-driven governance and risk assessment to ensure compliant, fair, and auditable development and use of AI. Our goal is to move RAI development from an “ethical” choice to an obvious one. We aim to do this both by making it easier for organizations to integrate RAI practices into their AI development and by collaborating with policymakers to set up appropriate ecosystem incentives. The ultimate goal is to reduce the risk of deploying AI systems, allowing companies to capture AI's benefits while mitigating the unintended consequences.

Role Summary

As our first Head of People, you’ll work directly with the co-founders and leadership team to build out the People function from scratch and rapidly scale the company from 35 to 70 and beyond. Credo AI’s believes that building a great culture is as important as building a great product. The Head of People will shape and operationalize the unique Credo AI culture by building out and incorporating company values across all aspects of the employee experience. Additionally, this person will be responsible for creating values based People programs that support the company’s mission and business objectives, including talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, and more, as well as building the People team.

You will:

Develop, execute, and own a comprehensive People strategy to support the business needs and objectives and scale the organization (including building your own team)

Partner to founders and leadership to nurture a unified culture while also meeting ambitious business goals and driving innovation, alignment, and efficiency across the organization 

Be a key driver in creating Credo AI culture: Refining core values and operationalizing them throughout the employee experience

Build out People programs such as talent acquisition strategies, comp & leveling, performance management, etc.

You have experience in:

Building high quality People programs across the employee lifecycle (recruiting, onboarding, performance management, total rewards, off-boarding, etc.) 

Leading and engaging remote teams in intentional ways

Partnering with founders and execs to build and nurture culture through critical inflection points

Building and scaling an organization through rapid growth
