Role Summary
As the Director of Talent based in San Francisco, you will serve as a talent strategist and advisor to investors and founders across several industry verticals including our newest: Global Resilience. You will build, nurture and manage relationships with a variety of leaders, entrepreneurs, and key advisors across the General Catalyst network, while building and leveraging your network to have a differentiated and meaningful impact on our portfolio of companies.
You will:
Support founders with critical executive talent needs, serving as a generalist talent strategist and advisor to both founders and investors
Build and cultivate a network of highly reputable operators, board members, advisors, angel investors, and future founders
Partner with managing partners and investors to build talent strategies for portfolio companies as well as provide talent insights and leverage for potential ones

Advising and coaching early-stage executives and/or founders through their highest priority talent needs

Influencing founders, leaders and talent to join a company, executives to believe in your strategy, and driving change across critical business stages
Recruiting at an early-stage organization (bonus points for Venture or Executive Search Firm experience)
